Mobius Band

Massachusetts (EUA) é a terra natal do Mobius Band, formada por Peter Sax, Sterling e Ben, trio que fica literalmente encaixado no Vale do Pionner em Shutesbury.

Como muitas outras bandas, são 3 jovens universitários que decidem fazer rock alternativo, algo como noir indie rock ou electro-shop trash, a banda é também bastante fundamentada na experimentação de novas sonoridades, aliás, um dos pontos fortes da banda e do interesse de Noam Schatz, criar estalos e zunidos fantásticos, elementos claro, presentes nas músicas da banda. Já as letras são um pouco reflexivas sobre comportamento e principalmente o que o grupo vive.

Bom, a banda tomou impulso mesmo, depois da ida de Ben e Peter para o Brooklyn, foi depois disso que lançaram em 2005 o primeiro álbum. antes disso a banda gravou alguns EPs que inclusive, por enquanto é possível baixar no site oficial da banda ( www.morbiusband.com ) o disco Heaven de 2007 traz uma curiosidade, foi escrito e gravado ao longo de 19 meses, isso se deve a vida conturbada da banda, nesse periodo, dramas que inclusive foram levados para o disco, tristezas como a morte do pai de um deles, mais a fuga de uma namorada de longa data com um melhor amigo, além de problemas financeiros, esses foram alguns dos "temperos" dramáticos que ajudaram a compor esse disco.

Enfim, nas palavras da própria banda, o Mobius Band cria canções que parecem, à primeira vista, como algo que você ouve na rádio, mas que se insinuam na forma de algo mais complexo. São canções pop circuito dobrado.
