The Mess Hall é uma banda de Melbourne - Austrália, formada por Jed Kurzel (voz e guitarra) e Condon Cec (bataria e voz). A Banda se denomina cheia de energia e de fato os rapazes  não estão exagerando, quem não conhece deve conhecer. 

Os garotos são inúmeras vezes comparados com White Stripes, mas o próprio Kurzel afirma que eles começaram a trabalhar e criar muito antes de White Stripes existir. Afirma ainda que suas influências estão no velho Mississippi onde se inspiraram para fazer uma releitura suja do blues.

Começaram a fazer show em 2001 e rapidamente ganharam notoriedade em suas apresentações. Gravaram um EP auto intitulado totalmente lo-fi para distribuir em eventos e shows. Em 2003 a banda segue caminho e lança um total de 5 trabalho até hoje, com muitas indicações a prêmios independentes, matérias em grandes revistas e turnês eletrizantes.

The Mess Hall is a band from Melbourne - Australia, made by Jed Kurzel (vocals, guitar) and Cec Condon (bataria and voice). The band is called full of energy and in fact the boys are not exaggerating, those not familiar should know. 

The boys are repeatedly compared with White Stripes, but the very Kurzel says they went to work and  create long before White Stripes there. It further states that his influences are in the old Mississippi where inspired to do a remake of dirty blues.

 Began making concert in 2001 and quickly gained notoriety in their presentations. They recorded a self titled EP totally lo-fi to distribute at events and shows. In 2003 the band following way and takes a total of five work to date, with many award nominations, independent stories in major magazines and exciting tours.

Novamente trago a beleza e a competencia feminina, desta vez com uma banda Australiana formada por quatro irmas, Amy Findlay nos vocais principais e na bateria, Hannah Findlay na guitarra e nos backing vocais, Sarah Findlay nos teclados e backing vocais e Holly Findlay no baixo e também nos backing vocais. Stonefield.

Cresceram ouvindo em casa Led Zeppelin, Zappa e Hendrix por causa de seus pais e após ganharem deles uma bateria complea, Amy com 15 anos, a mais velha da turma, se encantou pelo instrumento e começou a fazer aulas, assim nao demorou para as suas irmas tambem se interessarem e logo em seguida Hanna com 13 anos assumiu a tocar guitarra, Sarah com 12 anos começou a tocar teclado e a mais nova Holly, na época com apenas 7 anos pediu um baixo para o pai e assim a banda estava completa e apesar de morarem em uma fazenda em uma pequena cidade rural situada ao norte de Melbourne com uma população estimada de pouco mais de 200 pessoas, por força do destino um professor de música se mudou para a fazenda vizinha e logo começou a ensina-las cada uma com o seu instrumento, logo estavam tirando músicas que ouviam na rádio e não demorou para começarem a tocar Hendrix, a partir dai começaram com as músicas próprias.

Em 2010 participaram de um concurso de bandas no qual foram vencedoras e como prémio ganharam algumas horas em estudio e assim gravaram o EP "Through The Clover", no mesmo ano tocaram no One Movement Festival e em junho de 2011 tocaram no Melbourne Cricket Ground, antes do jogo.

They grew up listening to at home Led Zeppelin, Zappa and Hendrix because of his parents and after gaining them a complete battery, Amy 15 years old, the oldest of the group, became fascinated by the instrument and began lessons, so do not take long for their sisters also take an interest and soon after Hanna took 13 years to play guitar, Sarah aged 12 started playing keyboards and the newest Holly, who was then only seven years asked for a bass to the father and the band was complete and despite they live in a farm in a small rural town located north of Melbourne with an estimated population of just over 200 people, by force of destiny music teacher moved to a neighboring farm and soon began to teach them each with your instrument, so were taking songs they heard on the radio and soon to begin playing Hendrix, from there began with the songs themselves.
In 2010 participated in a band contest in which they were victorious and won as a prize a few hours in the studio and just recorded the EP "Through The Clover" in the same year played the One Movement Festival in June 2011 and played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, before the game.

“Here are the young men” 

É assim que o quarteto Australiano do NANTES mostra sua cara na Oceania. Com fortes e inconfundíveis influências ancoradas no velho continente. Nantes  é uma banda jovem  mas que mostra muita maturidade nas suas composições. As influências do velho continente ajudaram e muito na criação de seus trabalhos. Com Ben Tennikoff - keys/vocals, Josiah Eastwood - keys/guitar/vocals, Harrison Wood - drums/vocals, David Rogers - bass/vocals os garotos conseguem com maestria produzir música de qualidade.

Para quem conheceu Bonbay Bicycle Club aqui no blog ou para quem já conhece Strokes, Kings of Leon ou coisas do gênero, certamente vai gostar muito do NANTES.

Com um EP lançado em 2011 que tive a oportunidade de conferir, posso garantir que vale muito a pena ouvir e esperar com tranquilidade mais trabalhos de qualidade pela frente.

Neste  novo cenário Indie com inúmeras bandas, Nantes merece atenção especial.

Vou deixar duas músicas, ambas no mesmo EP de 2011 “Charlie” e “Fly”.

"Here are the young men"

This is how the Australian quartet of NANTES indie born in Oceania. With strong and unmistakable influences rooted in the old continent. NANTES is a young band but shows great maturity in his compositions. The influences of the old continent and really helped in creating their work. With Ben Tennikoff - keys / vocals, Josiah Eastwood - keys / guitar / vocals, Harrison Wood - drums / vocals, David Rogers - bass / vocals the boys can skillfully produce quality music.

For those who knew Bonbay Bicycle Club here on the blog or to those who already know Strokes, Kings of Leon or the like, will surely enjoy a lot of NANTES.

With an EP released in 2011 I had the opportunity to check, I can guarantee that it is worthwhile to listen and wait with tranquility more quality work ahead.

In this new scenario with many Indie bands, NANTES deserves special attention.

I'll leave two songs, both on the same EP, 2011 "Fly" and " Charlie."
