IN Show: Blubell

No último fim de semana (dias 23 e 24) a cantora Blubell fez shows em São Paulo no teatro do SESC Ipiranga e o IN LS teve o prazer de assistir o primeiro show dessa talentosíssima artista.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

On the last weekend Blubell played two shows in São Paulo in the theater of SESC Ipiranga  and IN LS had the pleasure of watching the first show of this talented artist.

The show was marked with a few surprises, starting with the look of her, dressed in a ballerina skirt and a headband with feathers, resembling the clothes worn in the dance French Cancan, and highlight the natural charm that Blubell own, gave the clothes an "air" to the retro show.

Another big surprise was the presentation of his new band featuring Daniel Szafran on piano, Carlinhos Mazzoni on drums, Igor Pimenta  on bass and Hori Hugo on sax and also the presentation of two new songs, "Bandido" and "Protesto" that will part of his next album to be released next year.

The Blubell talent is unquestionable, especially live, which besides having a beautiful voice, shows a performance artist who knows how to charm the audience with their friendliness and good humor.

Besides all this Blubell also shows that his talent goes beyond composing and singing she´s playing guitar, electric ukulele and still played drums when you change places with Mazzoni showing his talents as a singer.

The repertoire presented songs from her latest album "Eu sou do tempo em que a gente se telefonava" and the song "La Vie en Chose" from their debut album "Slow Motion Ballet", the encore was back on stage playing the music Charleston version that was known by the generation of the 80´s with the brazilian children group Balão Magico.

Blubell is a complete artist, great singer, great songwriter and knows very well how to choose the musicians for the show has an impeccable quality, as well as their albums. Blubell is a prime example of the brazilian music scene still has salvation.

As usual here´s two videos "Bandido" and "La Vie en Chose", both with the new band.

Enjoy...

Modernage

Lately we have been talking a lot of  brazilian bands and projects that deserve the attention of lovers of good old rock and roll, we know many cool things and that is serving as an incentive to continue to disseminate these treasures.

Today I present  Modernage band formed in Rio Grande do Sul in 2006, initially by Rafael Reis (vocals, guitar), Roberto Reis (Guitar and Vocals) and Alex Duarte (drums) and later Cesar Tremere (bass) joined the trio completing the band.

The band´s influences is contemporary rock and indie rock of the 90s, according to them, make a new sound without breaking completely with the classic.

Modernage has two EPs, the first "Nem sempre entendo as coisas que você tenta me dizer" (do not always understand the things you try to tell me) recorded entirely in Lo Fi, has only the initial formation of the band, without the Cesar Tremere, was released in 2006 by the label Tranfusão Noise Records, the second job "Constantina" was released in 2010 and has a more refined production, different than "Nem Sempre Entendo..." but this does not mean that the first EP is bad ... on the contrary, because of the low fidelity causes it has its own beauty.
Both works are remarkable riffs, criative melodies and direct lyrics, the works are different but equally great.

The "Nem Sempre Entendo ..." can be downloaded from the site Transfusão Noise Records and "Constantina" can be downloaded from official Myspace.

Here´s the official video for the song "Can be better" and the live video of "Nem sempre entendo as coisas que você tenta me dizer."

I hope you enjoy ...

Until next time

INDIE ROCK DE GUITARRA - Cenário Carioca - parte I

Aproveitem!

I'm surprisingly and happy with what I see emerging in recent times in the music scene in Rio, more specifically, in São João do Meriti - Vilar dos Teles. Before entering the subject, it is always good to remember that we have reason to celebrate the Brazilian scene and further unite forces for the good old Rock and Roll Brazilian, is the minimum we should do. States such as MG, RS, SP, BA, GO and DF showed its strength in recent years, his creativity and a wonderful destiny, or the parent to be home to fantastic bands, and now is the time of joining the RJ " mother club "with full force.

My inspiration to talk about the Carioca scene is undeniably linked to a person with whom I chat very soon these days. Lê Almeida, boy of humble origins who encouraged and made possible as a true "Father" the Rio Indie scene, work before they would be stuck in a dream only.

Transfusion Noise Records is the label that reads Lê Almeida is the front and of course, is responsible for launching several fantastic bands, true musical delusions Reads visionary genial.

Lê is a musician, artist and music producer, without it, as Bands Looking for Jenny, Carpete Florido (bands already published in the ILS), Sin Ayuda, Wallace Costa among others would be only a delirious dream.

Transfusion Noise Records LO FI embraced the concept with mastery on recordings made in the backyard or kitchen, with impromptu speakers, mixing board with only 4 channels recording at K7 and computer microphones for voice recording, in short A translation of the size of creativity, will, love and courage to show the world that rock and roll is something that is beyond comprehension or logic technology. Lee Adams deserves our respect and admiration.

Focusing on the musical side of Lee Adams, who besides founding partner of the seal, has his solo projects and other bands. Noise, the first lo fi, old-world influences, indie rock is rain in the wet. I am emotionally touched by the sound, they are strong songs, with melancholy dirty distortion coming from simple chords and intelligent, the very definition reads, "Indie Rock Guitar".

I'll stop here, but I'll be back to talk a little more than Lê Almeida and his works and projects. Anticipating the discography: Mono Mace; Transporpirações; Revi, Querida Deal; Loufailândia, Stay right with dropes of halls, everything can be downloaded from the label.

As always, I'll leave here a few tastings, I'm sure you do not hardly hear only once.

Enjoy!

:: THE MESS HALL ::

Discografia: 2001 - Evelyn/Snake Snake;  2003 - Feeling Sideways EP; 2005 - Notes from a Ceiling; 2007 - Devils Elbow; 2009 - For the Birds

Aproveitem!!!
