:: IN SHOW - TRANSMISSOR ::

Nesse dia 03 de abril, São Paulo foi presenteado com um show na faixa da banda Transmissor no Studio SP. A apresentação faz parte da turnê de lançamento do seu novo álbum “Nacional” . Pouco antes do show consegui conversar um pouco com os rapazes que comiam pizza e tomavam cerveja em um boteco da rua Augusta que alias, fiquei envergonhado, a pizza de lá é horrível!

A casa estava relativamente cheia, ainda mais por se tratar de uma terça feira. Transmissor subiu no palco as 23h e abriram a sequencia com músicas do novo CD, “Hoje”, “Vazio” e “ Bonina” as passagem pelo novo CD continuou maravilhosamente com “Só se for domingo” (essa pra cantar junto), “dois dias”,  “Sempre”, “Nada será como antes” e claro, a música que sempre tocavam nos shows antes do lançamento do CD novo, agora inclusa no álbum Nacional “Dessa vez”. Os antigos sucessos também estavam no set list, “Jeninha”,  “Dez segundos” e “Primeiro de agosto" foram tocadas com maestria e cantada junto com o público presente.

Se despediram dos fãs, autografaram CDs e saíram deixando gosto de quero mais, resta agora aguardar as novas agendas da banda em São Paulo. No brasil a agenda segue normalmente, não temos informações sobre shows fora do Brasil.

Vou deixar, como de costume aqui no Blog, duas músicas do CD novo, uma delas gravada neste show.

On this day April 3, São Paulo City was presented with a free concert of the band Transmissor at Studio SP. The presentation is part of the  tour of his new album "Nacional". Shortly before the show could have a little chat with the guys who ate pizza and drank beer in a pub Street Augusta and… I was embarrassed, the pizza there is horrible!

The house was full and transmitter went on stage and 11pm, the sequel opened with music from the new CD, "Hoje" then “Vazio” and “ Bonina”  the passage through the new CD was even the focus of the band also played " Só se for domingo "(this to sing along)," Dois dias "," Sempre "," Nada sera como antes "and of course the music that always played in concerts before the release of new CD, now included in the National album" Dessa vez”. The old hits were also in the set list, "Jeninha," "Dez seguntos" and "Primeiro de agosto” were masterfully played and sung with the audience.

Fired from the fans, autographed CDs and left leaving wanting more, there is now waiting for the new tour dates of the band in Sao Paulo. In Brazil the tour dates usually follows, we have no information about shows outside the country.

Ainda com o intuito de divulgar e valorizar nossas ótimas bandas nacionais alternativas, hoje trago a banda mineira Valv.

Formada em 2000, quando os amigos Alexandre Augusto (bateria e backing vocals), Luciano Cota (guitarra) resolveram montar uma banda e chamaram para fazer parte do projeto e para figurar no baixo o outro amigo Daniel Maia e apesar de nao possuirem um vocal, foi nesse mesmo ano que saiu algumas composiçoes do primeiro EP entitulado Ammonite que saiu no ano seguinte.

Alessandro Travassos (guitarra e voz) após voltar de uma viagem no final do ano de 2000, foi convidado a fazer parte da banda e a partir dai surgiu o Valv.

A banda tocou em festivais importantes em São Paulo, Goiânia e Curitiba e tambem participaram do festival americano South By Southwest em Austin, Texas.

O primeiro álbum veio em 2004 entitulado The Sense of Movement e conta com a participação na música título do álbum da vocalista do Pato Fu Fernada Takai.

A banda tem grande influencia de Brit rock e bandas indies americanas dos anos 80 e 90 e ainda com uma pitada de Punk rock que vem da bagagem de Daniel Maia tudo isso resulta em ótima pegada com distorções pesadas e sujas.

Again with the intention to disseminate great alternatives brazilian bands, today I bring the band  Valv.
Formed in 2000, all started when friends Alexandre Augusto (drums and backing vocals), Luciano Cota (guitar) decided to form a band and called to join the project and to figure in the bass the other friend Daniel Maia, was that year they did some compositions of the first EP titled Ammonite released in the next year.
Alessandro Travassos (guitar and vocal), was invited at the end of year to be part of the band and the Valv was formed.
The band performed at important music festivals in Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Goiania and also participated in the American South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
The first album came in 2004 entitled The Sense of Movement and has the participation of the singer Fernada Takai from Patu Fu band
The band has great influence of Brit rock and American indie bands of the 80s and 90s and still with a hint of punk rock that comes from Daniel Maia, its result in a great indie rock with heavy and dirty distortions.

Por incrivel que pareça o IN Lost Sides tem recebido inúmeras visitas gringas, as vezes temos até mais visitas de fora do que do próprio Brasil, isso foi um dos motivos de começarmos a (tentar) escrever em ingles e por causa disso eu estava querendo trazer mais bandas nacionais para cá, com o intuito de mostrar para os outros países que aqui não tem só carnaval (ainda bem) e que temos muitas ótimas bandas no cenário alternativo, diante disso essa semana trago o duo indie de Porto Alegre... Medialunas.

Formado em 2011 por Andrio Maquenzi das bandas Superguidis, Urso e Worldengine na guitarra e nos vocais e Liege Milk das bandas Loomer e Hangovers, na batera.

O casal, de acordo com eles mesmos, faz música por paixão e tudo começou quando resolveram gravar em casa dois singles, Humming e Colorful que logo foram lançados pela Trama Virtual, a motivação deles para continuar gravando veio nos dias seguintes ao lançamento na Trama pois os downloads nao pararam, deixando eles em primeiro lugar no top 10 do site, em seguida vieram mais dois singles Slo-Mo Dancer e Chunby dai em diante inúmeros foram os convites para shows.
 Da mesma forma que gravaram os singles, totalmente independente, lançaram o seu primeiro videoclipe (Chunby) elaborado e gravado durante a oficina de videoclipe na Semana do Audiovisual de Porto Alegre pelos próprios oficineiros do projeto,o resultado ficou sensacional, bem a cara da banda.

Atualmente a banda esta dividindo-se em shows e na gravação do seu primeiro álbum que será lançado esse ano.

It seems incredible the IN Lost Sides has received numerous visits from other countries, sometimes we even have more visits from the outside than Brazil itself, it was one of the reasons we started (trying) to write in English and I wanted bring more Brazilians bands here, in order to show other countries that here is not just carnival (thankfully) and we have many great bands in the alternative scene, this week I bring the indie duo from Porto Alegre - Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil ... Medialunas.
Formed in 2011 by Andrio Maquenzi on guitar and vocals and Liege Milk on drums and vocals.
The couple, according to themselves, makes music with passion and it all started when they decided to record at home two singles, Humming and Colorful, soon released by Trama Virtual (Brazilian Label), their motivation to continue recording came in the days since the launch, the downloads did not stop, leaving them in first place in the top 10 of the site, then came two more singles and Slo-Mo Dancer and Chunby, after that numerous invitations to shows.
Similarly they recorded the singles, totally independent, they released their first video (Chunby) produced and recorded during the workshop video clip on Week Audiovisual in Porto Alegre by the workshop students of the project.
Currently the band is divided into concerts and recording his first album to be released this year.

::: THE FUTUREHEADS :::

The Futureheads  natural de Sunderland na Inglaterra, trazem boas influências musicais como Kate Bush, Fugazi, Devo, Queen e The Jam. Trazem consigo o  melhor do pós-punk, new wave, pop e como inspiração. A banda ficou entre os melhores do Reino Unido do movimento "angular", que também incluiu Franz Ferdinand e Bloc Party.

A banda é formada  por um trio vocalistas, o guitarrista Barry Hyde, Jaff, baixista e baterista Pete Brewis. Hyde e Brewis eram os tutores em uma organização financiada pela loteria chamada de Sunderland City Detached Youth, que tinha como objetivo tirar as crianças das ruas usando a música como ferramenta educacional. A banda usava o próprio edifício como um espaço para os ensaios e em 2000 se apresentaram pela primeira vez na Faculdade e a repercussão foi extremamente positiva.

Lançaram seu primeiro single no final de 2002, iniciando então uma gama de grandes oportunidades musicais. Em 2004, The Futureheads foi lançado nos EUA, coincidentemente com a Turnê do Franz Ferdinand na América,  onde tocaram juntos, depois disso os rapazes passaram um bom período de  2005 excursionando, incluindo as datas de apoio com bandas como Foo Fighters, Oasis e Pixies.

The Futureheads born in Sunderland in England, bring good musical influences as Kate Bush, Fugazi, Devo, Queen and The Jam. They bring the best post-punk, new wave, pop and as an inspiration. The band was among the UK's best motion "angular", which also included Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party.

The band is a trio formed by vocalist, guitarist Barry Hyde, Jaff, bassist and drummer Pete Brewis. Hyde and Brewis were tutors at a lottery-funded organization called the Sunderland City Detached Youth, which was designed to take children from the streets using music as an educational tool. The band used the building itself as a space for rehearsals and in 2000 performed the first time in school and the impact was extremely positive.

They released their first single in late 2002, then starting a large range of musical opportunities. In 2004, The Futureheads was released in the U.S., coinciding with the Tour of Franz Ferdinand in America, where they played together, after that the boys spent a good period of 2005 touring, including support dates with bands like Foo Fighters, Oasis, Pixies .
