Hoje trago para o blog uma banda que tenho escutado muito... Chilli and the Baracudas.

Chilli and the Baracudas foi formada em 2003 na cidade de Viena, Austria. Sua formação conta com Chilli nos vocais, assovios, susurros e guitarra... ela também escreve as músicas, foi a fundadora da banda juntamente com Stoffi, baterista, contam tambem com Jouls na guitarra e o mais novo membro da banda, irmão de Chilli, Chris que figura o baixo, Chris entrou na banda em 2007 substituindo o baixista original Sasha que saiu da banda após se tornar pai.

 A banda possui apenas um álbum "Female Casanova" lançado em dezembro de 2009 e diga-se de passagem, muito difícil de achar... to procurando desesperadamente.

Rockabilly de primeira ou como eles próprios dizem Rock-a-Chilli Music, para entender bem o que isso siginfica basta ouvir o som que eles fazem... novamente nao posso tecer minhas opiniões para nao deixar o post inflamado... mas uma coisa é certa, se voce gosta do gênero vale muito a pena... e se acharem o cd... por favor me avisem...

Today I present a band I've heard a lot ... Chilli and the Baracudas.
Chilli and the Baracudas was formed in 2003 in Vienna, Austria. The former includes Chilli on vocals, whistles, whispers and guitar ... She also writes the songs, was the founder of the band along with Stoffi, drummer, also with Jouls on guitar and the newest band member Chilli´s brother Chris on bass, Chris joined the band in 2007 replacing original bassist Sasha that left the band after becoming a father.
The band has only one album "Female Casanova" released in December 2009 and by the way, very hard to find ... i´m desperately seeking.
The songs is a amazing Rockabilly or as they say  Rock a Chilli Music, to understand what  that means just hear the sound they make ... Here again I can not weave my opinions not to leave the inflamed post ... but one thing is certain, if you like the genre is well worth ... and if they find the cd ... Please let me know ...

Clínic é uma banda do velho mundo, especificamente falando, os meninos são de Liverpool, fazem músicas muito bem estruturadas no pós-punk. Um estilo rápido, muitas vezes com um viés eclético é sempre facilmente identificados, por conta do uso proeminente de teclados vintage / órgãos, especialmente a Philips Philicorda e outras peculiaridades fora da escala progressões de acordes.

Vocais são ácidos e inteligentes e as letras são algumas das marcas registradas da banda, outra marca forte é o uso de “trajes médicos” e máscaras cirúrgicas em suas performances. Durante uma entrevista, Blackburn revela usar máscaras cirúrgicas no palco como um tributo banda "Crime and The Residents."

Ade Blackburn e Jonathan Hartley formou o Clinic em 1997, após o fim de sua banda anterior, "Morning Pure". Eles ganharam notoriedade cedo principalmente por  caracterizar os instrumentos (principalmente teclados e órgãos) que foram adquiridos em mercados de pulga, vendas ou até mesmo de hardware. Brian Campbell e Carl Turney se juntou à banda pouco tempo depois e um ano mais tarde é lançado o primeiro EP.

Clinic é: Ade Blackburn - vocais, guitarra, teclados, escaleta, Brian Campbell - guitarra baixo, flauta e vocais, Jonathan Hartley - guitarra, teclados, clarinete e Carl Turney - bateria, piano, vocal de apoio.

Discografia: Entre 1997 e 2011 a banda tem uma extensa lista de EPs e compilações, vou citar os mais importantes álbuns lançados desde 2000, são eles: 2000-Internal Wrangler | 2002-Walking with Thee | 2004-Winchester Cathedral | 2006 - visitas | 2008-fazê-lo! | 2010-Bubblegum.

Clinic is a band of the old world, specifically speaking, boys are from Liverpool, do music very well structured post-punk. A rapid style, often with an eclectic sound is often easily identified by the prominent use of vintage keyboards / organs, especially the Philicorda Philips and peculiar off-scale progressions of chords.

Clever lyrics and vocals acids is one of the hallmarks of the band, another hallmark is the use of medical and surgical masks costumes during performances. During an interview, Blackburn reveals wear surgical masks on stage as a tribute band "Crime and The Residents."

Ade Blackburn and Jonathan Hartley formed the Clinic in 1997 after the end of his previous band, "Pure Morning". They gained notoriety early to characterize the instruments (especially keyboards and organs) that were acquired in sales flea markets, or even hardware. Brian Campbell and Carl Turney joined the band shortly after and the year after their first EP was released.

:: VIVENDO DO ÓCIO - rock brazuca ::

A banda surgiu em 2006, quando os amigos Jajá Cardoso (voz e guitarra) e Luca Bori (baixo) se reuniram em casa para tocar, no Centro Histórico de Salvador. A banda Trick Attack foi a primeira dos garotos que, mais tarde entenderam que montar uma nova banda que tivesse como referência, clássicos como Beatles e Rolling Stones, por isso ouviram mais atentamente para o que contemporâneo rolava no cenário mundial como  The Strokes, The Hives, Maxïmo Park e Arctic Monkeys. Procuraram um baterista na internet e encontraram Mamede. Em seguida Davide Bori (guitarra), irmão de Luca foi adicionado a banda.

O nome “Vivendo do Ócio” foi inspirado nas tardes tediosas que passavam ouvindo e fabricando música.

Em 2008 a banda venceu o GAS Sound, que teve como prêmio a gravação de um CD pela Deckdisc. Gravaram 14 faixas de autoria própria que compõem o álbum “Nem sempre tão Normal”, primeiro lançamento comercial do grupo.

A exposição da banda neste programa, promoveu bem a carreira dos garotos o que lhes rederam participações importantes em vários festivais como: Boom Bahia 2008, Festival de Verão de Salvador 2009, Abril Pro Rock 2009, Oi Noites Cariocas, abrindo o Show do Jota Quest, Nação Zumbi), Gas Street Festival 2009, Goiânia Noise 2009, Palco do Rock 2010 e Grito Rock Brasília 2010, e prêmios como “Aposta MTV” além de aparições importantes na TV.

The band emerged in 2006, when friends Jajá Cardoso (guitar, vocals) and Bori Luca (bass) met in the house to play in the historic center of Salvador (Brazil). The band Trick Attack was the first of the boys who later realized that setting up a new band that had reference, classics like the Beatles and Rolling Stones, so I listened more carefully to what contemporary rolled on the world stage as The Strokes, The Hives , Maxïmo Park, Arctic Monkeys. They sought a drummer on the Internet and found Mamede. Then Bori Davide (guitar), brother of Luca was added to the band.

The name "Vivendo do Ócio” (Leisure Living's)  was inspired by the tedious afternoons spent listening to and making music.In 2008 the band won the GAS Sound, which was to award to a CD recording by Deckdisc. 14 tracks recorded by the author that comprise the album "Not always so normal," the first commercial launch of the group.

The exposure of the band in this program, and promoted the careers of boys who provided the major holdings in several festivals such as Boom 2008 Bahia, Salvador Summer Festival 2009 Oi Carioca Nights, opening the show from Jota Quest , Nação Zumbi, Gas Street Festival 2009, Goiânia Noise 2009, Stage of the 2010 Rock and Rock Scream Brasilia in 2010, and awards as "MTV Bet" important addition to appearances on TV.

Noodles

Nesse novo post resolvi dar uma pausa nas bandas nacionais e trouxe um ótimo trio feminino da terra do sol nascente que faz indie de primeira.... Noodles

A banda foi formada em 1991 em Yokohama e nessa época ainda nao eram um trio... a formação contava com as 4 amigas, Yoko (vocais/guitarra), Junko (guitarra), Ikuno Suzuki (baixo) e Ayumi (bateria).

Em 1995 lançaram seu primeiro álbum Jyuryoku Dorobo (The Gravity Thief) pelo selo Benten.

Nesse mesmo ano, fizeram muito sucesso e alcançaram grande notoriedade nas rádios do japão após um comercial da coca-cola onde a trilha sonora foi composta e tocada por elas.

Em 1999 assinaram com o selo Delicious e a partir daí começaram a fazer inúmeros shows pelo Japão e assim conquistando cada vez mais fãs.

Em março de 2003 após abrirem um show para a banda The Breeders em Osaka começaram a fazer shows nos EUA participando de duas edições do SXSW e ainda no festival CMJ Music Marathon em Nova Iorque.

Porém no ano seguinte a banda se tornou um trio com a saída da guitarrista Junko, e assim a formação se mantem até a presente data.

A discografia das meninas, como a maioria das bandas japonesas é extensa, conta com 9 álbuns, The Gravity Thief de 2005, Slow Coaster de 1997, Long Long Chain de 2001, God Cable de 2003, Ivy de 2005, Cover Me Shakespeare de 2006, Metropolis de 2007, Snap de 2008 e Explorer de 2010, contando também com vários singles e mini álbuns.

In this new post I decided to take a break from Brazilian bands and brought a great indie female trio from the land of the rising sun.... Noodles
The band was formed in 1991 in Yokohama and at that time still were not a trio, Yoko (vocals / guitar), Junko (guitar), Ikuno Suzuki (bass) and Ayumi (drums).
In 1995 they released their first album Jyuryoku Dorobo (The Gravity Thief) by the label Benten.
That same year, enjoyed great success and achieved great notoriety in the radios from Japan after a Coke commercial where the soundtrack was composed and played by them.
In 1999 signed with the label Delicious and from there began to numerous shows in Japan and gaining more and more fans.
In March 2003 after opening a show for the band The Breeders in Osaka started doing shows in the U.S. participating in two editions of SXSW and still CMJ Music Marathon Festival in New York.
