The Real Tuesday Weld é uma banda que faz musicas estilo “jazzy”
ou de Cabaré, com influências electro e europop. Formada e liderada na
Inglaterra por Stephen Coates carrega em seu portfólio seis álbuns, vários
singles, eps e muitas trilhas em compilações. Sua combinação de grandes sons
da banda de jazz tem sido influencia para uma muitos artistas 'Swing electro'
e djs.
O nome da banda inicialmente era Tuesday Weld, nome inspirado
na atriz Americana “Tuesday Weld” mas por motivos legais foram forçados a mudar
o nome e inteligentemente mudaram para “The Real Tuesday Weld”
Stephen Coates deixou os estudos de Artes Visuais na
Academia Real de Arte para se dedicar a música. Dentre muitas esquisitices que
eu poderia citar em seus álbuns, carreira ou músicas, vou falar da gravação do seu penúltimo álbum “Kid
Clerkenwell: Live at the End of the World “, onde a ideia da gravação deste
álbum foi ambientar o concerto na véspera de um suposto “apocalipse em Londres”
e o show se abre com o mestre de cerimônia anunciando a banda e o nome do show:
“Senhoras e Senhores, sejam bem vindos
ao Fim do Mundo!” Outro destaque em seus shows são os efeitos visuais que
embelezam ainda mais as performances com filmes e animações em forma de
projeção.

The band's name originally was Tuesday Weld, named after the American actress "Tuesday Weld" but for legal reasons were forced to change his name and cleverly changed to "The Real Tuesday Weld"
Stephen Coates left his studies in Visual Arts at the Royal Academy of Art to pursue music. Among many oddities that I could name on his albums, or music career, I want to talk about the recording of their second last album "Clerkenwell Kid: Live at the End of the World", where the idea of recording this album was house the concert on the eve of a supposed "apocalypse in London" and so the show is announced announcing: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the End of the World" Another highlight in his shows are visual effects that further embellish the performance with movies and animations in the form projection.
